SMS Qlix

Armajo has announced the immediate availability of SMS Qlix search service that allows users to initiate a Web search via a simple SMS and have the search results delivered to their email inbox.

Users simply SMS the command "QLIX" followed by their search keywords to 83050 (25p per Qlix)

Within seconds Qlix sends a confirmation SMS detailing the number of results found

When users check their email, they will find the search results waiting in their inbox, reminding them of their interest and allowing them to start the online exploration of the search they launched from their mobile phone

Prayer Alerts by SMS The Islamic Cultural Centre (Central Mosque of UK) and number of UK based Islamic charities has launched a SMS Muslim prayer alert service.

The service will deliver a SMS/text to subscribers every morning before the first prayer (Fazr) with all the prayer times for that day (GMT based time) and a quotation from the Holy Quran (an Ayaat) as well.

The service, delivered by WIN plc, costs 25p (incl. VAT) per day and all the profit will be donated to Islamic charities in the UK - a first in the world.

"With over 2m Muslims in the UK, this is an excellent service for those who wish to receive valuable Islamic information and donate to good causes at the same time." Saadi Hussain, MS Wireless Marketing, the provider of the service.

The service will be initially launched just in the UK and is planned to be made available across Europe in the next 12 months.
